Here at Jill Biggs Group, we’re all about finding the very best places for you to call home in New Jersey. Today we’re featuring one of our favorite cities: Hoboken!

As the #1 Real Estate firm in the city according to Real Trends, we like to think of ourselves as Hoboken experts.

According to Niche, Hoboken is the best place to live in Hudson County. Why? Niche gives the city a glowing A+ rating, largely due to its suitability for families, diversity, exciting nightlife, and excellent schools.

Nightlife

Hoboken has been described as a city with small town charm, and we couldn’t agree more. With a sprinkling of high-rises and a plethora of locally owned small businesses, this city really is the best of both worlds. One of our favorite things about Hoboken is the city’s uniquely classy nightlife. Unlike the wild party scene of the surrounding cities, Hoboken offers a slightly more toned-down nightlife where quality outweighs quantity. Pubs, breweries, and upscale cocktail bars and dance clubs offer something for everyone.

The Arts

Another thing Hoboken has to offer is its active art scene, where visual art and music alike abound. Barsky Gallery is one of the city’s largest galleries, specializing in contemporary art. Hoboken also has many live music venues as well as various festivals and fairs throughout the year, meaning there’s always a place to go to be immersed in culture.

Dining

Hoboken is home to the most restaurants and bars per square mile in the country. No matter what type of food you are craving, you can find it here!

Shopping

No discussion of Hoboken would be complete without mentioning the shopping. Hoboken is known for its excellent shopping, where stores catering to every taste span over just a few, easily walkable blocks. The best part? There are endless local boutiques and small shops, which allows you to shop local and get unique items.

Parks

Hoboken has a total of 35 parks, and if you are a resident, you are bound to live near one! In fact, every home in Hoboken is within a 5-minute walk to at least one park. Whether you want to bring your furry friends to a dog park, take your kids to a playground, cool off in a water spray area, take in sights of New York City, or get a workout in, the local parks have it all.

These are just a few of the things that make Hoboken so special. We haven’t even mentioned the rich history, outdoor activities or endless coffee stops throughout the city. What’s your favorite thing about Hoboken life?
