1. Take a Walk Along the Hudson

The Hudson River Waterfront Walkway is the perfect backdrop for all of your favorite outdoor activities, from dog walking to bike riding. The walkway runs along the Hudson River, with panoramic views of the city skyline all along the trail. There are also parks and piers accessible from the walkway.


2. Check out the Hoboken Uptown Farmers Market

Saturdays from 9 am - 2 pm you’ll find the Hoboken Uptown Farmers Market under the 14th Street Viaduct. The market runs from May to December, and is a partnership between Bijou Properties and the City of Hoboken. From plump tomatoes to home-baked bread, the Hoboken Uptown Farmers Market is the perfect place to do your shopping this summer.

3. Visit Monroe Center for the Arts

Monroe Center for the Arts consists of two charming converted factory buildings which now serve as home to small businesses and artist studios. Enjoy galleries and exhibitions, or create your own masterpiece at ArteVino Studio, a paint and sip studio allowing people of every skill level to create beautiful artwork and unwind in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

4. Learn to Paddle Board

Join Resilience Paddle Sports on a guided paddle boarding or kayaking tour of the Hudson River. They offer classes for adults and children and seek to promote a healthy lifestyle for locals as well as increase appreciation of the Hudson River’s beauty and the need for its preservation.  


5. Bake with The Cake Boss

Carlo’s Bakery rose to fame after being featured on TLC’s hit show, Cake Boss. The bakery is known for its impressive confectionary creations, including wedding cakes that have appeared in popular wedding magazines like The Knot and Modern Bride. The bakery offers classes which teach visitors cake decorating secrets from the boss himself to transform a simple cake into a work of art too pretty to eat.

6. Go Shopping at Alba Boutique

Since Jeanna Palumbo opened her chic boutique in 2013, it has become one of the hottest spots for fashionistas in the Hoboken area. It has been voted Hoboken’s best clothing store as well as being declared Best Fashion Boutique four times by 201 Magazine. Visitors can reserve a private shopping party, including hors d'oeuvres and personalized stylist recommendations.


7.  Visit the Hoboken Historical Museum

Located along Hoboken’s colorful waterfront, the Hoboken Historical Museum is housed in the former machine shop for Bethlehem Steel. The museum collects, preserves, and displays artifacts and history regarding the city and its inhabitants. It also organizes educational programs, like lectures and other special events.

8. Stop by Pilsner Haus and Biergarten

After a long day exploring this exciting city, why not stop by Hoboken’s Austro-Hungarian-style Biergarten for a drink and a bite? They have over 70 beers on top, as well as delicious gastropub fare. The Pilsner Haus also hosts many events throughout the year, including live music and trivia nights.
